All my figures have been researched and I try to make them as historically accurate as possible.
I use a variety of model acrylics, mixing and matching paint to give both the correct colours and also shade the figures for added depth and reality.
Figures are matt varnished to give protection from handling and to give them durability. Modern acrylics do not have the drawbacks of flaking on plastic figures like enamels in the past. New plastics used by figure manufacturers also take paint without flaking.
I texture and paint bases to finish the figure adding grass and rubble to give an appropriate scene for the figure.
